Reviews and Ratings
Chateau du Grand Pin is an exceptional place that far exceeded my expectations. The owners, Rebekah and Richard, provided unparalleled service, making it feel like a true home away from home. I loved the beautiful setting near Carcassonne, which is perfect for exploring the region. However, the unique layout of the bathrooms might be a bit surprising for some, and the dining options, while good, were sometimes a little unconventional.
My stay at the chateau was absolutely delightful! It's a cozy family home that combines charm with original features, making it feel very welcoming. The big downside was a little confusion with the booking, which led to a higher price than expected for our suite. Overall, the experience was enriching with memorable sights and delicious meals.
My stay at this beautifully decorated house was a delight with its artistic charm and luxurious atmosphere. The rooms were lovely, complete with original artworks and a well-equipped bathroom, though it might not be the best fit for families with young children. The breakfast was a delightful surprise with exquisite choices, and the owners were engaging and welcoming. It does have a few quirks like the staircase being a bit tricky and the necessity to drive for meals beyond breakfast, but overall, it was a refined experience.
Our stay was quite a mix. While we found the hosts warm and the atmosphere charming, the service experience left much to be desired, especially during checkout. The unique dining was a highlight, albeit a bit odd in combination. Overall, it has potential, but improvements are needed for a better experience.
Staying at the Chateau du Pin was a truly memorable experience. The warmth from Jean-Luc and Marie-France made us feel right at home. The rooms were comfortable and boasted beautiful views, while the dining options were exceptional. However, the initial confusion with dinner choices was a bit challenging, and having more predictability in meals would have been nice.
